Ten Things You Can Do to Help Stop the War (Feb 2008) 1) Protest War and Occupation in Iraq: on the Fifth anniversary of the US invasion: March 19--6 pm and March 20--5 pm, Federal Plaza, Adams & Dearborn, Chicago. FMI: Chicago's 5-Year Anniversary Coalition .2) Join NWCPJ for the Iraq Moratorium - a vigil each third Friday of the month until the war ends. Check http://nwcpj.org for each month's location. 3) Organize or attend a house party. Show films like: War Made Easy, Iraq for Sale, Uncovered: War on Iraq, Why We Fight, No End in Sight. Contact us for details. 4) Don't let the Bush administration use the same lies to get us into another war - now with Iran. Write a letter to the editor 5) Talk about peace and war issues when family and friends get together. Talk with your fellow citizens while in line at the grocery store! 6) Join counter recruiters who tell our young people the truth about war and give them alternatives to military service. Contact the Chicagoland Coalition Opposed to the Militarization of Youth . 7) Tell your representatives, "No more $$ for the Iraq war: Bring the troops home now." Call Lipinski:312-886-0481, Durbin:312-353-4952 & Obama:312-886-3506 8) Advertise Peace: Wear an anti-war button or shirt. Show a message for peace on your bag or car. 9) Vote on Nov 4 for your local/national peace & justice candidate, and work for candidates who pledge to bring our troops home now. 9) Help work to expose the lies and crimes of the Bush Administration. Consider joining others who call for accountability or impeachment.
